Williams Laundry Room Opens for Business

Williams Residents now have a new place to bring their laundry.

Opened in June, the spacious laundry facility provides plenty of room for its patrons in addition to several washing options.

Located near Downtown Williams at 570 6th Street, the Laundry Room has a spacious, shared parking lot for its guest.

“We have 12 top loading washers, 7 – 30lb front loading washers, and 3 – 50lb loading washers.” said Owner and longtime Williams Resident, Wayne Grishaber, “There is a machine for just about everyone’s needs.”

In addition, the facility includes 18 dryers, a detergent dispensary, and change machines.

For the past two year’s owner Wayne Grishaber has worked endlessly to open the doors to the ‘Laundry Room”.

“It took some time getting through the red-tape and working with each of the different agencies,” said Grishaber, “the City of Williams was especially helpful in going through the proper processes.”

After opening in June, the Laundry Room has been quite a buzz with patrons using the facility throughout the day.

“We are open from 7am to 9pm,” said Grishaber, “the busiest times seem to be after people get off work and on the weekends.”

As patrons wait for their laundry, the Laundry Room provides a comfortable atmosphere and seating.

“We have magazines and local publications available for people to read,” said Grishaber, “We even have a bookshelf with some books for the kids.”

The facility even features a bulletin board for important community notices.

Grishaber prides himself on listening to the needs of his patrons and seeks opportunities to full fill them.

“We had a few requests for music, and for a fan to help our customers stay cool,” said Grishaber,”So we installed a radio and the fan was a great addition.”

Grishaber or his wife, make appearances throughout the; checking in to make sure equipment is running properly, the facility is clean, and overall satisfying their customers.

“The community needed a laundry facility,” said Grishaber, “and we provide that and more.”

The Laundry Room is also looking to expand its services with possible ‘Drop-off Services’, “If there is a need for this service, we would gladly fulfill the request,” said Grishaber.

“It is amazing how many garment pieces get left behind,” said Grishaber, “We started a lost and found, and if the item is not claimed it’s available for anyone who needs it.”

The Laundry Room has future potential to grow with space to add additional washing machines and dryers, Grishaber said the facility was here for the long term.

“I would like to give my thanks to the Phelan Family, and Pride Real Estate,” said Grishaber, “they have been a big part of the development of the facility, and providing a much needed service to the community.”
