Y.E.S. Flea Market

On Saturday, September 28th 2013 from 7am to 3pm at the Colusa Fair Grounds South West parking lot by The Grandstands. 1303 10th St. (Highway 20 & Harris). Cost is $20.00 for a 15’x15’ space. Vendors must provide own table and awning. One vehicle per space. Burchfield Primary School Book fair!

Burchfield Primary School, located at 400 Fremont Street in Colusa, will host their annual fall book fair, “Reading Oasis! A cool place to discover hot books!” Running Monday, September 30th – Friday, October 4th. On Monday, September 30th, there will be a free family event to kick off the book fair. At 6:00 p.m. the Puppet Art Theater will present the show, The Three Little Pigs! The puppet show will be held in the cafeteria and the book fair will open after the show. Tuesday through Thursday the book fair will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday will be the final day of the book fair and the hours will be 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. All proceeds from the book fair will be used to purchase new books for Burchfield Primary school library. Become a Master Gardener of Colusa County volunteer!

Master Gardeners provide home gardeners with scientifically accurate knowledge and information based on University of California approved research. If you have a love of gardening and commitment to give back to your community through volunteer work then attend one of our Information Day Orientations. September 25th, 10am, Bento’s Downtown Perk, Arbuckle. October 1, 1pm, Louie Cairo’s patio, Williams. October 2, 6pm, Steelhead Lodge, Colusa. Arbuckle Pumpkin Festival

Come celebrate FALL at the Arbuckle Pumpkin Festival held on Saturday, October 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Downtown Arbuckle. Come pick that special pumpkin for carving, or select a decorative pumpkin for the season. Kids will enjoy fun activities just for them! Browse through the special fall market with vendors selling gourds, crafts, fall decorations, fresh produce, and much more! A special BBQ Lunch will also be served. Calling all Runners, Walkers, Crawlers, Strollers

There is going to be a Harvest Run in Williams on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. The air horn goes off in front of the high school at 8:30 a.m. There is a 5K and 1 mile course through the city of streets of Williams. Pre-Registration is available by sending an email to The entry fee is $10 for students and $20 for adults. All proceeds go to Delta Theta Pi Sorority and they support several school events. AARP Driver Safety Classes

AARP Driver Safety Class for all drivers age 50 or older. Held in the Williams Community Center, 860 C Street, Williams, CA, on OCTOBER 8th, 2013 from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Cost is $12.00 for AARP Members and $14.00 for Non Members. Space is limited to 25 participants so register as soon as possible at Williams City Hall Annex 464 8th Street M-F 9am-4pm (closed for lunch 12:30-1:30pm). Arbuckle Almond Fun Run

On Sunday, October 27th the Arbuckle Almond Fun Run will be held. Registration Opens at 7:00 a.m.; One Mile Run begins at 8:00 a.m.; 5k and 10k Runs begin at 8:30 a.m. – Come on out and support the Pierce High School Cheerleading Program as you run through scenic almond orchards on paved roads. The cost is $10 before October 14th – after the cost is $12. Awards will be available based on age divisions. No Dogs, Rollerblades, Skateboards, Bikes or Scooters. The event is sponsored by the Arbuckle Parks and Recreation District; Ace Hardware; Athletics Unlimited and Adidas.

Colusa Harvest Festival

On Saturday, October 12th, 2013 a Harvest Festival will be held in Colusa at the Colusa County Court House Lawn & Gazebo from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. The event is currently seeking vendor booths: baked goods, crafts, kid’s games, and more! In addition, a Scarecrow Walk & Contest will be held with local businesses. Child Safety Seat Classes

Child Safety Seat Classes: “Is your child safe in your car? Certified child safety seat technicians are providing classes at the Colusa County Public Health Department. You will learn how to properly install and use the correct type of car seat for your child. Registration fee is $20 and low-income families may qualify for a free car seat.
