Professional Events Services (PES) will once again host the Colusa Holiday Craft Faire & Gift Show. The Show is scheduled for November 23 and 24 at the Colusa County Fairgrounds.
The Holiday Faire is a tradition in Colusa County which was established more than 26 years ago by local resident Marty Zeleny.
Although it was hosted for many years by the 44th District Agriculture Association (44th DAA), its board decided not to support it in 2012 citing financial considerations.
Instead, they opened a bidding process for the event to be hosted by another group.
Professional Events Services CEO Carolan Ferreria Meek, a former 44th DAA manager stepped up to keep the show going as a project of PES. For the second year running, Meek successfully won the bid for the show and states that she is looking forward to an even bigger and better event than last year’s successful show.
She expects that the Faire will showcase over 130 vendors displaying their holiday wares, crafts, and gifts. “It is a great place to go shopping for those unique items, or for those every year holiday staples for your family entertaining,” said Meek.
One of Colusa’s favorite eateries; Rocco’s Bar & Grill will be serving food at the Main Exhibit Hall.
“We are so excited that Rocco’s will be one of our featured food vendors,” said Meek.
“There is room for more food vendors though,” she said. “We anticipate more will participate,” she added.
“Don’t forget, that Santa will be at the show and available for photos,” said Meek.
Show hours are from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday.
