New Stop Sign

The Colusa County Public Works Department is to install new stop signs at a busy intersection in Arbuckle.

The signs will be located at the intersection of Putnam Way and Freeway-Undercrossing Rd, according to District 1 Supervisor, Kim Vann, making the intersection a four-way stop.

‚ÄúFor the last four months we have been in the process of making that intersection safer for motorists,‚ÄĚ said District 1 Supervisor, Kim Vann.

The county will install warning signs letting drivers know about the new stop sign with flashing beacons.

Motorists can expect to see the signs installed within the next couple of weeks.

The decision to install a multi-stop sign is based upon an engineering study, and criteria related to the location having high accident problems or high-traffic volume. C
