Williams CHP & Impact Thrift Store Host Annual Toy Drive

The Williams Area California Highway Patrol and Impact Life are teaming up for the annual ‚ÄėCHiPs for Kids‚Äô Toy Drive in Colusa County.

The annual event has provided over 1,000 new toys for children in Colusa County in the years past.

The California Highway Patrol and Impact Life are asking for your help to ensure the same happiness and joy to the less fortunate children in our county.

Children are selected through an application process and through personal referrals. Applications for distribution are available at Impact Life Thrift Store, most area schools, First 5, and the Department of Health and Human Services in Colusa.

The public is graciously asked to drop off a new, unwrapped toy at one of the collection locations, the California Highway Patrol office located at, 100 E. Street in Williams; or at Impact Life Thrift Store, 541 Fremont Street, Colusa. Donations must be made during normal business hours.

Barrels will be picked up on December 19th, 2013; however, donations can still be made through the Impact Life Thrift Store and the Williams CHP office.

Toy distribution will take place on Saturday, December 21st, 2013 at the Birchfield Primary School in Colusa from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
