James ‘Jim’ Granzella (1928-2013)

jim_granzella2Jim Granzella passed away October 1st, 2013 at his home in Williams, CA with his family. 

Jim was born on Dec. 18th, 1928 to parents Carlo Granzella of Italy and Cecilia Granzella of San Francisco, CA 

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Beverly Granzella; 3 daughters, Denice McCarty (Bill), Linda Garcia (Randy), Tami Jenkins (Gary); 1 sister Evelyn Knight; 7 grandchildren, Stacie, Dino, Angela, Daniel, Jessica, Gina and Tiffany; 7 great grandchildren, Joshua, Kendall, Grace, Bailey, Hayden, Bella and Alaina, as well as several nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard Granzella and Albert Granzella. 

Jim and Beverly came to Williams in 1976, and established a small deli, Granzella’s. As the years went by, and with the help of their family, they became a dynasty. Granzella’s now employs over 150 people. 

Jim will be incredibly missed. He was deeply loved by his family and friends. Jim’s integrity, and warm heart, touched and changed countless lives. May he forever rest in peace with the Lord ~ till we meet again. 

Visitation will be held at McNary-Moore Funeral Chapel from 5:00-8:00p.m. on Tuesday, October 8th with a Rosary service at 7:00p.m.. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Arbuckle on October 9th at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow at the Williams Cemetery
