Winners have been announced from this yearās festival of lights parade that took place in downtown Williams on Saturday, December 14th.
The Glenn-Colusa Cattlewomen took first place. The Colusa County Girl Scouts took second place. Lastly, JVās Grooming took third place. Congratulations!
Celebrating community spirit, the event began with the annual Downtown Holiday Stroll boasting an emporium of 28 vendors. Patrons enjoyed browsing homemade crafts, baked goods, while sipping rich hot chocolate in the bitter cold, many discovered unique treasures and great eats.
Soon after the townās towering 67 foot Christmas tree was lit, the main streets of Williams became aglow as the parade of lighted entries began at 7:00 p.m.
The annual event drew quite a large crowd. With over ten parade entries, the event lasted a satisfying 45 minutes of mechanized electronic joy; including Claude the fire breathing dragon from Recology that made a special appearance. K
