City of Williams Awards Engineering and Design Contract

In a special meeting held on Tuesday, January 2, 2014, the Williams City Council selected the lowest bid from three proposals to perform design and engineering services to extend Marguerite Street to Highway 20.

The design and engineering plan is to be completed by Colusa County and sent to Caltrans in Late April, and to expect to have the design phase completed by June.

This is the first phase of the Marguerite Street extension that will connect with Highway 20. The project will develop an opportunity for commercial and industrial growth in the area.

The Council unanimously approved the $160,000 contract to the County of Colusa, with Councilmember Angela Fulcher absent.
