Feather River College Volleyball Coach Sarah Ritchie announces the official commitment of Mariah Diaz to play volleyball for the Golden Eagles this coming fall. Diaz, a 6-2 right side/middle blocker, was a first team all-conference selection and team captain for Pierce High School in Arbuckle, CA.
“We are beyond excited to have Mariah as part of our team,” said Ritchie.
Diaz finished 3rd in the North Section for blocks with 127, averaging 1.8 blocks per game. She was also chosen to participate in the prestigious 13th Annual North vs. South All-Star game held on December 8th where she was a dominating force at the net, recording 9 kills and 8 blocks.
“Mariah will be an immediate impact player for us and give us the net presence that we are looking for,” says head coach Sarah Ritchie. “We are very excited that Mariah has chosen FRC as the place to continue her volleyball career. We expect great things from her this upcoming season.”
