Williams Man Suffers Extensive Injuries During Bar Fight

A Williams Resident was air lifted to Enloe Medical Center after he suffered severe lacerations to the head and face during a confrontation around 10:08 p.m. at Granzella’s Sports Lounge in Williams on January 15, 2014.

Jesus Camarena, 21 of Williams was left with severe lacerations to the head and face after a bar confrontation, Williams Police said in a statement.

The incident took place outside in the parking lot of Granzella’s sports lounge.

Upon arrival to the scene, Williams Police Officers found Camarena with deep lacerations and the apparent suspect missing.

It was determined that the suspect was staying at Granzella’s Inn, and police confronted the suspect who was later identified as Marco Gutierrez-Padilla, 20 of Los Banos, California.

Officers found Gutierrez-Padilla in his hotel room, where he had injuries to his face and hands linking him to the fight.

The fight started when Camarena and Gutierrez-Padilla got in a confrontation inside the sports bar.

Camarena left the bar and waited in the parking lot.

Gutierrez-Padilla, left the bar shortly after carrying a glass beer mug.

Gutierrez-Padilla was arrested and booked into Colusa County Jail on Felony Charges of Assault with a deadly weapon and Mayhem. He was also charged with misdemeanor battery with serious bodily injury.

At the time of press, Camarena was in stable condition.
