Williams Home Invasion Assault

Williams police are looking for a man who assaulted a woman during a home invasion early this morning. 

At approximately 3:38 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2013, Officers from the Williams Police Department responded to a residence in the Valley Ranch subdivision of Williams for a report of a woman who had been attacked inside her home. 

On arrival, Officers determined a male subject had entered the residence and was armed with a knife. 

The female victim awoke to find the armed suspect in her bedroom. 

The suspect brandishing a knife, the victim fought back in defense of her family and herself, sustaining minor injuries during the attack.  The suspect immediately fled the residence.

 The victim then called 9-1-1. 

Colusa County Sheriff’s Deputies and California Highway Patrol Officers also arrived on scene to assist.

The motive is unknown at this time.  The case is currently under investigation.

The suspect is described as a spanish speaking male and approximately 5-feet 7-inches. 

The Williams Police Department urges residents to lock their residences and vehicles, and take safety precautions.
