At approximately 1:56 a.m. officers responded to the scene on Interstate 5, just north of Maxwell road, to find the tractor trailer rolled onto its side, blocking both southbound lanes.
The trailer spilled heavy rolls of paper products onto the roadway, on to the shoulder, and into the center divider.
The driver, Harpreet Kour Sindhu, 38 of Abbotsford B.C., driving the 2014 Volvo semi-tractor trailer was transported to Colusa Regional Medical Center for lacerations to the face, right hand, left arm and right leg.
Sindhu’s passenger, Davinder Singh Sidhu, 38 of Abbotsford B.C., was also transported to Colusa Regional Medical Center for lacerations to the face.
At the time of press it was not determined the exact cause of the collision and the investigation is still on-going.
Southbound traffic was diverted onto Old Highway 99W and redirected back into Interstate 5 at Colusa-Maxwell Road while the vehicle was up righted and debris cleared from the roadway.
