Williams to Host Concerts in the Parks Starting June

IMG_8886Looking for something to do on Thursday nights this summer? Well how about enjoy some music and good food in Williams.

The fifth annual Concerts in the Park kicks off on Thursday, June 12, 2014 – at Venice Park in Williams.

This year’s lineup includes past favorites, along with something for the whole family.

Pat Ash is the committee chairperson for the Concerts in the Park activity, hosted by the Citizens for a Better Williams. “Its a great event for families to come out, enjoy a great meal prepared by one of the many participating local non-profits, and listen to some great music with their community,” said Ash.

The concerts are held every-other Thursday, in the evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is located on Venice Boulevard between E Street and Westgate Drive.

Kicking off the concerts season is the ‘First 5 – Children’s Concert’ on Thursday, June 12th.

Full Concerts in the Park Schedule:

  • June 19 • The band Double Zero will perform; sponsored by Recology and California Family Foods. Food and Drinks will be available by Ruben Prado.
  • July 3 • Concert will be canceled due to the Independence Day Holiday.
  • July 17 • The band Inside Strait will perform; sponsored by Williams Soaring Center and Sarvin Signh. Food and Drinks will be available by the Brown & Gold Foundation.
  • July 31 •  The Road Crew will perform; sponsored by Valley West. Food and Drinks will be available by the Friends of Alejandro Jauregui.
  • August 14 • The Hot Rods will perform; sponsored by Weston Buildings. Food and Drinks will be available by the Williams Volunteer Firefighters.

The Citizens for a Better Williams and the Sacramento Valley Museum will have desserts available at each event.
