Burchfield Primary to host Annual Art Auction with Raffle

On Thursday, May 15th, the Parent-Teacher Club of Colusa’s Burchfield Primary School will host its annual Art Auction and Raffle during their spring program.

This campus-wide event is an end-of-the-year celebration recognizing students, families and community support. Festivities and B.B.Q begin at 4:00 PM at Burchfield Primary School playgrounds.

Students have been creating unique artwork with personalized touches and are hoping to raise a lot of money. This will be a silent auction where bidding opens at the start of school on Monday, May 9, 2014 and closes at 8:00 PM on May 15. The winner does not need to be present to win. The auction is open to the public. Fundraising proceeds are split equally between grade levels and the Parent Teacher Club. Money raised from this event will be used throughout the following school year for field trips, classroom supplies and learning equipment.

Parents, faculty and students would like to invite family, friends and community members to join in the celebration. The silent auction is open to the public.

New this year is a raffle with chances to win four possible prizes. Tickets are on sale starting May 1st, 2014 and cost $10.00/ea. Prizes include a custom built smoker, Redhawks trailer hitch (2 winners) and dinner for two at Wintun Restaurant. For more information please contact 530-458-5853.
