Spanish/English Committee Selects Council Candidates

The newly created ‚ÄėSpanish/English Committee of Williams‚Äô (SPENCOW) recently announced two of its members to run for Williams City Council this November.

Santos Jauregui, and Charles ‚ÄėChuck‚Äô Bergson were the two named candidates that were announced in a press release by the committee.

In addition to selecting its proposed candidates for the upcoming City Council election, the SPENCOW committee seeks to discuss issues that pertain to city streets, routes to schools, sidewalks, street lighting, conditions of City parks, and youth and cultural programs.

The committee formed after a group of concerned citizens wanted to address the needs of the community and to obtain adequate representation for the community’s Hispanic members.
