Westfall Announced as 2014 Stonyford Rodeo Queen

Westfall Announced as 2014 Stonyford Rodeo QueenMariah Westfall, 18, of Williams, is the newly crowned 2014 Stonyford Rodeo Queen. Five other young ladies – Krista Morris, Kayla Wilson, and Leina Clarke, from Chico; Michaela Decker from Redding; and Rachel Frantz from Penn Valley – competed in this year’s event held during the Colusa Western Days. Rachel Frantz won the Runner Up title and was also chosen by her peers as Miss Congeniality. Competition consisted of a written exam, oral interview, and a demonstration of their horsemanship ability.

Queen Mariah is a ranch girl through and through. She grew up working cattle and doing other chores on her family’s ranch. She currently attends Butte College, at the Orland campus. She is pursuing a career in agriculture as an accountant. Mariah and her court will reign over the Stonyford Rodeo May 3rd and 4th and will ride through Stonyford in the parade on Saturday with last year’s Queen, Ciara Fuller.
