Nico Collins-Moreno, 21, was arrested on charges of possession of a short-barreled shotgun, and carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle; additionally, Moreno was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol causing bodily injury.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Moreno was driving a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am, northbound on Wildwood Road approaching the intersection of Hillgate Road. Moreno neglected to stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection and broadsided the passenger side of a 1997 Chevy Cobalt carrying two Arbuckle residents.
Both vehicles sustained major damage.
The driver and passenger of the Chevy Cobalt were transported to Colusa Regional Medical Center for Moderate Injuries.
Moreno’s passenger, Nathaniel Lee, 20 of Woodland was arrested for being drunk in public to the point he could not care for his own safety.
Moreno and Lee were both medically cleared before being booked into the Colusa County Jail.
