Arbuckle Parks & Recreation District Summer 2014 Programs

Fitness Dance Class
The Arbuckle Parks and Recreation District will host a series of Fitness Dance Class starting Ju-ly 7th running through July 17th at the APRD Office Building (309 5th Street, Arbuckle) come dance and get fit to Hip Hop and Pop music, and Zumba. Classes are held at 9:30 a.m. for 3-6 year olds; 10:00 a.m. for 7-12 year olds; 11:00 a.m. for 13 years and up. APRD standard fees apply ($40 for one child, $75 for two children, and $105 for three children).

Junior Guard
The Arbuckle Parks and Recreation District will host a series of Junior Guard Classes starting June 9th – June 19th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Arbuckle Swimming Pool. In the Junior Guard program, children will review basic swimming techniques as well as learn basic lifesaving techniques, and swimming lesson instruction. Emphasis will be placed on safety, respect, physical fitness and instruction. Ages 10 to 15 years old. Free with Volunteer hours during swim lessons.

Swim Lessons
The Arbuckle Parks and Recreation District will host Swim Lessons starting June 9th through June 19th at the Arbuckle Swimming Pool. Swim Lessons are designed to help kids learn and improve stroke techniques, acquire safety skills, and increase water comfort. Lessons available for 2-years old to advanced swimmers. Lessons are held Monday through Thursday. Day lessons start at 11:30 a.m.; Night Lessons start at 6:30 p.m. Classes include: Parent-Tot, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advance Swimmer. APRD standard fees apply ($40 for one child, $75 for two children, and $105 for three children).

Open Gym
From June 9th through July 31st, the Arbuckle Parks and Recreation District will host a Open Gym at the Pierce High School North Gym. Ages 7th Grade through 12th Grade. Monday: Volleyball; Tuesday: Kickball &/or Dodge ball; Wednesday: Volleyball; Thursday: Basketball. This event is held FREE – with a completed open gym registration form.

Swim Team
The Arbuckle Parks and Recreation District will be hosting a Swim Team from June 9th through July 24th at the Arbuckle Swimming Pool. Participants must be able to swim two laps without stopping. Cost: Beginner $90/child; Intermediate $80/child; advanced $65/child.

Tennis Camp
The Arbuckle Parks and Recreation District will host a Tennis Camp from June 3rd to July 3rd starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Pierce High School Tennis Courts – The program is designed to help children learn and improve their tennis game, work hard, and make new friends all while having fun! ALL Ages, Kindergarten and up. APRD standard fees apply ($40 for one child, $75 for two children, and $105 for three children).

Art: “Off the Paper”
The Arbuckle Parks and Recreation District will host an Art Camp, June 17th through July 15th on Tuesdays starting at 11:00 a.m. at the APRD Office Building (309 5th Street, Arbuckle) – Thinking off the paper, activities will include art projects not on paper. In addition, Origami, Weaving and Sculpture Classes will be available. Ages, 5 and UP. APRD standard fees apply ($40 for one child, $75 for two children, and $105 for three children).
