Each contestant will be given an opportunity to enhance their personal development in the areas of poise, self confidence, communication skills, and good sportsmanship. The competition is not a beauty contest, but rather a program that fosters youth accomplishments, community service, academic achievement, and recognition for excellence.
This years contestants include: Allison Jane Ward, 17 of Williams; Anel Sanchez, 16 of Colusa; Kendra Leigh Hester, 16 of Colusa; Michaela Nichole Carvalho, 17 of Maxwell; Emily Catherine Corriea, 17 of Colusa; and Anastasia Marie Azevedo, 17 of Maxwell.
Additionally, nine Mini Miss Contestants will compete for the 2014 title on Wednesday, June 4th, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Colusa County Fair’s grandstand arena.
Those contestants include Layn Amanda Haywood, 11 of Maxwell; Keyana Marie Carbajal, 10 of Colusa; MaryJo Elle Wilson, 8 of Colusa; Mirella Granados, 12 of Colusa; Kaylie Marie Gwinnup, 10 of Maxwell; Jewel Kesterson, 12 of Colusa; Kelsea Rene Whitting, 11 of Colusa; Rosalyn Marie Wilson, 11 of Colusa; and Rylee Reading, 11 of Colusa.
