Glenn Medical Center welcomes new Administrator and Physicians.

Willows, CA, May 15, 2014: Glenn Medical Center is pleased to announce their new Administrator, Barbara Rydgren and several new physicians and specialties.

Barbara Rydgren was appointed as Administrator of Glenn Medical Center effective April 17, 2014. She has been with Glenn Medical Center since June 2012, as Health Information Management Director. Barbara has her Masters of Public Administration in Health Care Administration from University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from University of California Los Angeles, Registered Health Information Technician, Registered Health Information Administrator, and Certification in Healthcare Privacy from the American Health Information Management Association, and a Certificate in Construction Management from UCLA School of Engineering. Prior to coming to Glenn Medical Center, Barbara had a vast career, including being the Director of Health Information Management with Good Samaritan Hospital and Director of Facility Support Services with Daniel Freeman Hospitals. She resides in Elk Creek.

Dr. Kathryn Guggenheim, board certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology, joined Glenn Medical Center May 12, 2014. Dr. Guggenheim trained in London, New York, Washington DC and Grenada completing her residency in Neurology at the University of Kentucky, Lexington. For the past 27 years her education and practice has had an international reach. Dr. Guggenheim is a well-trained general neurologist with in-depth training of many of the specialties of neurology including epilepsy, movement disorders, sleep disorders, strokes, dementia and peripheral neuropathy. Dr. Guggenheim provides care for adolescents and adults. Her procedural competencies include neuropsychological screening, nerve conduction studies, Electroencephalogram (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), evoked potentials, vagal nerve stimulation for epilepsy and Botox for dystonia. Dr. Guggenheim provides care at Glenn Specialty Clinic at 934- 1820.

Dr. Lyle Griffith, board certified adult and pediatric Urology, joined Glenn Medical Center April 21, 2014. Dr. Griffith received his Medical Degree at University of Washington, Seattle. He is Glenn County’s only Urologist and has over 30 years of experience. His specialties include: treatment of the kidneys, bladder, and prostate; circumcision, vasectomy, and reversal; in-office laser thermal treatment of prostate; ultrasound prostate renal, testicular; kidney stones – shockwave treatment (ESWL); treatment of prostate cancer – cryosurgery; erectile dysfunction – impotency; incontinence – male and female; bladder suspension tension, free vaginal sling. Dr. Griffith provides care at Glenn Family Medical Group at 934-4681.

Dr. Walter Wynne, board certified in Internal Medicine, joined Glenn Medical Center April 4, 2014. Dr. Wynne studied at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine and Los Angeles County Medical Center with his residency in internal medicine at University of Southern California. Dr.

Wynne has also received is Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He has a solid background of accomplishments as Program Director, Medical Director and Hospitalist in general medicine as well as in respiratory, geriatric and intensive care. Dr. Wynne will provide inpatient care and provide preventative and chronic illness management for outpatients in the Glenn Family Care Clinic at 934-1816.

Dr. Billy Throm, certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, joined Glenn Medical Center April 1, 2014. Dr. Throm received his Doctor of Chiropractic at Cleveland Chiropractor College in Kansas City, Missouri. He has been very active in the community since 2004 and is a member of the California Chiropractic Association. He provides gentle techniques for all ages and treatment of the spine, hips, knees, ankles, hands, shoulders to help with back and neck pain, headaches, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, and stenosis. Dr. Throm promotes health and wellness while relieving stress with Chiropractic care at the Glenn Family Care Clinic at 934-1816.
