The Mr. Cinderfella pageant is a ‘beauty’ pageant for the young men.
No, Mr. Cinderfella is not a misspelling; it’s a competition where the young men get together and strut their stuff, and the term “beauty” is used very lightly.
The participants will compete in a lip-synching musical act while providing an opportunity to enhance personal development in the areas of poise – in heels, self-confidence and communication skills – provided their voices don’t crack, and good sportsmanship. All while performing in front of family, friends, and fair guests.
The pageant, which is under the direction of the Junior Fair Board, is open only to male candidates from the five Colusa County High Schools. Eligible contestants must be an incoming sophomore or a 2014 graduate.
The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 donation in his name made out to a school recognized group, club or organization from his school; additionally, the winner will be presented with a variety of gifts from sponsoring area businesses, groups and individuals.
