Arbuckle Man Involved in Big Rig Crash in Marysville

On June 25, 2014 at approximately 10:43 a.m., Lixandro Acevescano, 24 of Arbuckle, Ca., was traveling southbound on State Route 70 in a 1998 Peterbuilt and Trailer, just south of Magnolia Road outside of Marysville, Ca., carrying a load of large rocks and boulders.

Mark Little, 51 of Olivehurst, Ca., was traveling directly behind Acevescano in a 2012 Kentworth Truck and Trailer, carrying a full load of tree bark.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Acevescano began to slowdown, and Little was unable to stop within the short distance, and collided with the right rear of Acevecano’s trailer.

Consequently, Little sustained major injuries and was transported by Bi-County Ambulance to Rideout Emergency Room for his injuries. No injuries were reported by Acevescano.

Drugs or alcohol do not appear to have been a factor in this collision.
