The California Highway Patrol will hold a FREE ‘Start Smart’ classes starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 and Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the CHP Williams Area Office located at 100 E. Street in Williams.
The two-hour program is meant to help young drivers and their parents understand the responsibilities associated with driving a vehicle. The class will reveal how poor choices behind the wheel can change the lives of everyone involved. Additionally, informs of parental roles and responsibilities, legal ramifications and civil liabilities affecting teenage drivers.
The classes are made available for teens, accompanied by a parent or guardian, at no cost.
Participants will receive certificates of completion of the program; these certificates may be used with your insurance company, as some offer discounts to drivers who attend a StartSmart program.
