One Injured in Solo Vehicle Rollover Outside of Maxwell

On June 21, 2014 at approximately 3:55 a.m. CHP Officers were traveling southbound on Interstate 5 just south of Maxwell when they came upon a roll-over collision that had just occurred.
According to a press release by the California Highway Patrol, a 2001 Ford Ranger was found resting on its left side within the median of the freeway. The vehicle sustained major roll-over damages, and airbags were deployed.

The driver, 22-year-old, Evan Ray of Cottonwood, Ca., appeared to have lost control of his vehicle which causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and rollover several times.

Ray sustained moderate injuries and was transported by air ambulance to Enloe Hospital, in Chico.

Ray’s three passengers gave no complaints of injuries at the time of collision.

Drugs or alcohol do not appear to have been a factor in this collision; and is still under investigation by the Williams Area CHP office.
