Williams Community College to host Business Summit in Williams

The Woodland Community College, Williams Campus will be hosting a FREE Business Summit on September 16, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for local businesses to discuss the difficulties of finding local qualified skilled staff and to discuss the skills and gaps new high school and community college graduates possess when they enter into the workforce.

The information collected from the local business survey, will allow schools to adjust their curriculum in an effort to narrow skill gaps, and address the needs of local businesses while producing a viable workforce.

The Business Summit will be held a the Woodland Community College, Williams Campus located at 99 Ella Street, in Classroom #1.

In exchange for their time, businesses will all receive a free lunch catered by Granzella’s.

In addition, all participating businesses will also be listed on the Woodland Community College’s website with a link to their business.

The Summit is funded by the ‘Doing What Matters’ grant from the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.
