“Proceeds from the run will benefits something for agriculture education,” said Mary Grimmer, event coordinator, “whether that be ag in the classroom, a field trip or something else.”
The run will be a delightful course through scenic almond orchards on paved roads. The course is available in one-mile, 5K, and 10K distances. Awards will be given to the top individuals in their age divisions.
The cost is $15 if pre-registered before October 5, 2014. $20 after the deadline. A PJUSD student discount is available.
Halloween costumes are encouraged; and prizes to be given to the most outstanding adult, child and group costume.
“Our goal is to have more than one walk per year,” said Grimmer, “it is planned to have one both in the spring and during the fall.”
