Autumn may be right around the corner, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the Colusa Farmers’ Market season. The market remains open every Thursday through October 2 offering a cornucopia of colorful and nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables, as well as gifts, baked goods, and much more.
“I love this market,” Melissa Baikie-Rick, the Market Coordinator, “It has a great spirit and people are still coming out!”
Baikie-Rick recently took reigns of the market.
“I had a lot of support from Lynda Reynolds,” said Bakie-Rick, “She was a great mentor.”
As the market wraps up on October 2, Baikie-Rick hopes to return next year with fresh ideas.
“I hope to have live music at every market, a cooling station, and expanding SNAP benefits,” said Baikie-Rick.
The Colusa Farmers’ Market is held every Thursday evening from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Memorial Park in Downtown Colusa.
