During the Williams vs. Pierce football game on Friday, September 19th, the community members held a special bake sale, fundraiser for the Christian Orozco Family.

“We started off with five tables full of goodies,” said Williams Community Member, Sara Kaba, “in the end there was about a dozen cupcakes and a dozen cookies left!”

Some bought goodies while others just gave what they could.

“It was amazing with all the support we had to help the Orozco Family in their time of need,” said Kaba.

The event raised over $1,197 in bake sales, while an overstuffed donation box remained uncounted.

“I would like to thank Barb Rolen, Kathleen Bautista, Kelly Scott, Grace Lindsey, Karen Gonzalez, and Melissa Floriano for all of their help,” said Kaba, “I was blessed with an amazing team, and we all worked great together.”

Seven-year-old Christian Orozco died after being struck by a car on his way to school earlier this month. The community has come together to help raise funds for the family to help with the unexpected costs of this tragedy. â–
