Colusa Harvest Festival and Pancake Breakfast on Saturday

Returning for its second year, downtown Colusa will be filled with crafters, vendors, food tents, music, and fun activities for all ages.

“We encourage everyone to come out and support our local vendors, and shop our local businesses,” said event coordinator Stephanie Ponciano, “it is going to be a fun day!”

Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014, the Colusa Firefighters Association will host its Fall Pancake Breakfast at the Colusa Fire Department. For a $5 donation ($3 for children under 12), guests will enjoy a delicious, made-to-order breakfast, cooked and served by your local firefighters. Breakfast will be served until 11:00 a.m.

At 11:00 a.m. the Harvest Festival begins with local food vendors and firefighters cooking up a special lunch, live entertainment from a string music band, a family fun zone that includes a bounce house, face painting, and games. Additionally the event expects to have over 40 vendors available.

The Harvest Festival is a free community event.

Don’t have time to go to the pumpkin patch? Pumpkins will also be available at the event.

Stephanie Ponciano, president of the Harvest Festival board, welcomes everyone from everywhere to attend this year’s event, taking place around the counties historic courthouse.

Attendees are invited to walk downtown Colusa and visit the several local businesses who will be open for the event.

“It is a great event to come out, have fun, and support local businesses,” said Ponciano, “it is a great way to get started on your holiday shopping.”

The Harvest Festival is expected to wrap up at 3:00 p.m. â–
