Two Arrested, Over 100 lbs of Marijuana Seized

On Saturday, November 1, 2014, a Williams Area CHP officer observed a Kia Forte tailgating and weaving in the southbound lane of Interstate 5 just north of Maxwell.

Upon making a traffic stop, the officer discovered a large amount of marijuana in the vehicle and the Colusa County Narcotics Task Force was dispatched to assist with the investigation.

108.5 lbs of marijuana were located within the vehicle.

The driver, arrested 37-year-old, Hua Yang of Fresno, was found to be under the influence of drugs and was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs; possession of marijuana or hashish for sale; and to give or transport marijuana over 28.5 grams. He is booked into the Colusa County Jail.

The passenger, 30-year-old, Ken Xiong of Eureka, California on possession of marijuana or hashish for sale; and to give or transport marijuana over 28.5 grams. He is booked into the Colusa County Jail.
