Hundreds filled the streets of downtown Colusa as the community hosted its Christmas Tyme in Colusa event on Saturday, December 6, 2014.
A charming evening of food, family, and holiday fun as many browsed local vendors, took photos with Santa and patronized local businesses.
The event held traditionally on the first Friday of December was moved to Saturday with the committee citing ‘a better day’.
A better day it was as many of those who were first skeptical of the date change, were delightfully excited.
“It’s a great turnout; everyone is having fun and the kids love the snowman,” said Vicki Willoh, a Christmas Tyme in Colusa committee member.
Children and adults gathered around a snowman that produced simulated snow, while others took a ride in a horse-drawn carriage down Market Street.
Lastly, Santa made an appearance with the help of the Colusa Fire Department.
