Roads were safer this Thanksgiving Holiday as the California Highway Patrol reported a 50% reduction in DUI Arrests within its jurisdiction. The reduction was reported for the Northern Division during the departments statewide Mass Enforcement Periods (MEP) from November 26, to November 30, 2014.
A total of 37 DUI arrests made during the Thanksgiving MEP – down from the 69 arrests in 2013.
Across the state, the California Highway Patrol reported a total of 982 DUI arrests made during the statewide Thanksgiving MEP – down from the 1,201 made in 2013.
