After going nearly undefeated in the 2014 Football Season, the Williams Football team was selected by the Northern California Officials Association as the recipient of the Vance Van de Peer Sportsmanship Award.
The award is given to schools whose coaches, players, and staff demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship during the current football season. The award is named after a longtime Chico football official who dedicated his career to football officiating and sportsmanship.

Mena, Alex Gomez, Freddy Velazquez, Juan Fernandez, Joaquin Carrasco, Lewis Davalos, Mario Cruz, Junior Leos, Renee Orozco, Martin Solis, Cesar Paiz, Brandon Hunt, Luis Davalos, Alexis Ramos, Alex Vaca, Fabian Velazquez, Gilberto Lopez, Christian DeLoza, Carmelo Zamudio, Dakota Coombs, and Luis Medina.
Oroville High School was also the recipient of the award.
