Princeton Boy Scout Receives Eagle Scout Promotion

On December 6, 2014 the Princeton Volunteer Fire Department along with the Colusa Troop 5 Boy Scouts hosted and Eagle Court of Honor for Spencer Joseph Stocks.

While surrounded by about 60 family, friends, members of Troop 5 and past Eagle Scouts, Spencer recited the Eagle Scout Oath before being pinning with the distinctive Eagle medal upon his uniform.

His promotion to Eagle Scout included an impressive completion of 41 merit badges, a community service project which included weed removal around the Fire Department, set up of shelves inside, organizing fire station equipment, raising a flag pole, and washing the Fire Trucks for the Princeton Fire Department, and an interview by the Eagle Scout Board out of Yuba City.

The award presentation also recognized his eight previous years of scouting from Cub Scouts and Webelos.

Spencer is the 15 year old son of Steven and Kimberly Stocks of Princeton.
