Emile “Millie” Cribari passed away at the age of 91 on March 8, 2014. He was born on April 5, 1922 in Salida, Colordo.
Emile was the owner and operator of Colusa Motor Sales, an automotive parts and repair store. After which, he started a new career farming prunes and walnuts. He was a honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (Colusa) and St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Stevensville, MT). Emile served in WWII as a flight chief in the U.S. Air Force and belonged to the VFW for 50 plus years.
Emile was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ethel. Emile and Ethel spent their retirement years in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley in Stevensville, MT. Here he pursued his love of hunting and fishing. He was also preceded in death by his siblings John and Fred Cribari, Angie Ferraiuolo, and Josephine Morris.
Emile is survived by his daughter, Sandra Detlefsen and son, Steve Cribari, Sisters Virginia Mahoney and Vera Aldobe, six grandchildren (Stephanie, Shelly, Beth, Anthony, Chris and Justin), 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:30a.m. Saturday, March 15th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 4th and Oak street Colusa, CA.
