Laurie Ann Gasperson (1964-2014)

Gasperson, Laurie obit photoLaurie Ann Gasperson (Lennox) passed away suddenly at the age of 49, on June 9, 2014 in Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Born on November 13, 1964, Laurie had resided in the counties of Colusa and Yolo for the last 25 years.

After graduating Macarthur Nursing College at Enterprise, Alabama in 1985, Laurie worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for many years.

Laurie was the president of her nursing glass and was always enjoyed helping others in need. Many believed she was destined for a career in the medical field at an early age when she resuscitated a family pet.

When Laurie wasn’t caring for others, she spent much of her time in the garden and attending to her two children; whom she lovingly called her babies.

Laurie was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Gasperson Sr., her brother, Michael William Lennox and her Father Lloyd F. Lennox.

Laurie is survived by her children: an 8-year-old son, Gary Gasperson Jr. and 16-year-old daughter, Megan Gasperson of Colusa. She is also survived by: her mother Mary Ann Lennox of Colusa; brother Colin Lennox of Magalia; two sisters Christine Gregory of Grimes and Susan Holt of Arbuckle; and her nieces Michelle Cox, Jacqueline Gonzales, Cassandra Gonzales and Samantha Gonzales of Arbuckle, Alexandria Walker of Enterprise Alabama, Nephews Christopher Lennox and Johnathan Lennox of Colusa.

Laurie was greatly loved her family and always put her children first.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Colusa Branch of Enloe Ambulance.

Services were held at McNary Moore on Tuesday, June 17th at 11:00a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of McNary-Moore Funeral Service, Colusa. (530) 458-2111
