Nancy (Durst) Nageley (1937-2014)

Nageley, NancyNancy (Durst) Nageley joined her Lord and Savior in heaven on Friday, August 8, 2014. Nancy was born on May 31, 1937 in Marysville, California. She spent her childhood in Grimes, California and graduated from Stanford University in 1959. She was most recently of Davis, California.

Nancy died surrounded by her loving family. She took great pride and joy in her extended family and enjoyed hosting the family Thanksgiving. She also doted on her grandchildren and took each of them on trips to places like Costa Rica, the Bad Lands and New Glaris, Wisconsin.

She is survived by her two daughters Janet (Greg) Meredith, Julie (Jim) Keowen; grandchildren Samantha (Peter) Chester, Alexandra Meredith and Nathan Keowen; her brother Fred (Beverly) Durst; sister-in-law BillieJean Durst.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents John Henry and Emma Durst; brothers Lloyd and Robert Durst; sister Dorothy (Durst) Mengali; ex-husband Sam Nageley.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 16, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church located at 625 W. Gibson Road, Woodland. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Nancy’s name to the Northern Inland Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
