Henry H. Reading, age 97, passed away December 14, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born August 7, 1917 in Maxwell, California, where he lived most of his life. In 2010 he moved to Roseville to be closer to his family.
He was an Army veteran and served during World War II. He participated in the allied invasion of France on D-Day. Henry returned to Maxwell after the war and returned to farming.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Gerry, his brothers Ray and Newell Reading, his sisters Jean Lausten, Marge Leible, Rose Sutton, and Olive Haase. He is survived by his daughter Gayle and son-in-law Jack Strobel of Rocklin, and grandchildren Erika and Trent Strobel.
