Colusa County families have a “close-to-home” option when looking for qualified and trusted senior care.

Silver Oaks Manor, previously known at Country Side/Mirsona has been available in Williams, CA for more than 30 years, but the key to this facility’s appeal now is that its service provides a home-like atmosphere and a lifestyle similar to what the residents enjoyed before moving there.

Manor Administrator Maria Granados-Moreno could not agree more. “We are a close-knit family here,” she said.

She added that the staff/resident ratio is different from “larger” facilities, and it gives staff an opportunity to get really to know the residents and to establish great, long lasting relationships with each one.

Now under new ownership, the Manor offers a flexible lifestyle for independent seniors and also makes available custom care services to meet individual resident needs right here in Colusa

County said owner Frank Wang. It is a 24-hour secure facility and offers the opportunity for socialization, friendship, and companionship.

Wang and his staff bring more than 20 years of medical experience in providing care for the Silver Oaks Manor residents.

“We are very excited to be a part of the community, and we are so pleased that Colusa County residents have this option for care close to their families,” said Wang.

He commented that it is the Manor’s goal to provide the quality of care so deserved by its residents and to provide a local options and convenience for the residents’ families by providing care close to home.

Silver Oaks Manor is offering services that include an Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care programs. Its staff is trained to deliver memory care support to its residents. It is also approved to accommodate residents who need hospice care.

Additionally the Manor offers assisted living and short and long term respite care options.

Wang commented that there is a variety of activities for the residents as well.

“We have a daily fitness program, weekly bingo, senior luncheon outings, regular walks on the exercise path, chair aerobic exercise, beauty & barber salon, internet access, etcetera,” said Wang.

Residents have the option of private or semi-private rooms.

“Our residents are welcomed and treated like family at Silver Oaks Manor,” said Wang.

Meals at the manor are homemade, and every effort is made to adhere to residents’ individual taste.

Granados-Moreno said that it is important to Silver Oaks Manor that it not be seen as a ‘medical’ facility. “We want to be recognized for what we are; an assisted living facility,” he said.

“Although there are medical components, and we assist with medical needs; medications and appointments we are not a medical facility,” she said.

“All of our staff is well educated, experienced and energetic, which makes for a great experience. We are a short distance from every town in the county, and that makes it easy for family visits.

Most importantly, we can ensure entering our comfortable environment will cater to your everyday needs, and you may have some fun along the way as well,” said Granados-Moreno.
