Roseville Man Injured in Vehicle Accident on Highway 20

A 68-year-old Roseville Man sustained major head trauma after colliding with a guardrail on Highway just west of Walnut Drive, said the California Highway Patrol.

On Monday, March 2, 2015, at approximately 9:00 PM, Jerry Alexzander was driving a 2012 Hino Two Axle Box Van eastbound on Highway 20 approximately two miles west of Walnut Drive.

For unknown reasons, Alexzander lost control of his vehicle and collided with a metal guard where his vehicle continued off the roadway and overturning onto its left side.

The vehicle came to a rest blocking both lanes of traffic.

Although Alexzander was wearing his seatbelt, he sustained major head trauma and was transported to Colusa Regional Medical Center where he was transported by air ambulance to UC Daivs.

At the time of press, Alexander’s condition was listed as critical, said the CHP.

Highway 20 was closed for approximately three hours after the collision for investigation and debris cleanup.
