The counties very first ‘Community Baby Shower’ will be held at the Colusa County Education Village in Williams.
This FREE event provides on opportunity to vast resources to expectant and new parents to help welcome their new baby.
Parents will learn about important topics such as: breast feeding, child safety and injury prevention, prenatal care, perinatal substance use, prematurity prevention, sudden infant death syndrome and safe sleep, secondhand smoke, and quality child care.
As part of the event, the Colusa County Public Health Department, in partnership with the Center for Healthy Communities, is promoting the Join the Movement living billboard campaign.
All of the Champions being highlighted in this “living billboard” reenactment demonstrate that healthy change is possible in every home and every community, no matter what the obstacles.
With the messages written on their signs, these Champions inspire, inform and empower others to follow their lead in making small changes that add up to big health improvements.
The Colusa County Community Baby Shower will be held on Thursday, March 19, from 10 AM to 1PM at the Williams Education Village, 101 Marguerite Street, Williams.
