At 2:00 p.m. the City of Colusa Heritage Preservation Commission will present the final ”surprise” of the day.
“This will be the 5th annual presentation to spotlight and honor individuals or businesses that have done outstanding renovation to buildings and homes, all of which are important to the culture and heritage of our community.” said Jim White, Colusa Heritage Preservation Commission Member.
“The winner of this years Heritage Preservation Award has done an outstanding job with a 100-year-old structure in the Riverfront District that we know well,” said White, “So that’s all the hints to be given – if more was said it wouldn’t be a surprise!”
So save this Saturday, May 2 and enjoy all the plants, flowers, arts and crafts, lunch, nice wines and cheese, and tasty bits of dessert. You can help us honor the award winner for this year as the plaque is presented for a job well done. The plaque mounting is wood saved from the historic Colusa and Lake Railroad roundhouse that was demolished a few years ago.
Weather promises to be sunny and 85 degrees – a perfect day for a great community!!
