Deputies Respond to Possible Arbuckle Home Invasion

On Monday, April 27, 2015 at approximately 9:15 AM, the Colusa County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a possible home invasion in the 6300 block of Harrington Ave. in Arbuckle, California.

According to the Colusa County Sheriff’s Department, as Deputies arrived on the scene, several shots were heard being fired within the home.

“Deputies instructed the individual to exit the home,” said Sgt. Mark Contreras, “he then exited his home with two firearms in his hands.  Officers instructed the individual to drop his weapons and Deputies were able to detain him without incident.”

Deputies detained the 40-year-old homeowner and began their investigation on locating a suspect; however, one was not found, and it appeared to deputies, one had never existed.

“The homeowner appeared to be hallucinating and taken for a mental health evaluation,” said Sgt. Contreras.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.<
