The open house is part of a year-long Centennial Celebration of the Colusa County Library.

County Librarian, Stacey Costello commented that each branch within the county will have the opportunity to host open house.
“We want to showcase and celebrate each of the branches and their successes,” said Costello, “we invite everyone to come out and see what their local libraries have to offer and how we plan to serve the community in the future.”
The Colusa County Free Library is also asking for community support in “Filling our Shelves” with their Centennial Celebration Book Drive.
“As we celebrate our centennial, we want to ensure we are offering the most current and interesting selection of books and materials such as DVD’s and audiobooks to our patrons,” said Costello.
With limited funds to purchase new materials, the Library has begun seeking tax-deductible donations to help meet their goals.
Opportunities to donate start at $10 and you may detail your preference, including genre, format, and branch location.
Located at each of the county library branches, “Fill our Shelves” Information and Donor Brochures are available.
“Each donation of $10 or more will include a personalized bookplate within that book,” said Costello, “The bookplates have been adapted from the original library bookplate found in our earliest collection.”
