Districts 2, 3, and 4 Supervisor seats on the Colusa County Board of Supervisors are set for the June 2016 election; also, the Superior Court Judge is open for judicial candidates.

The filing period begins on February 16, 2016, and closes on March 11, 2016.

Currently, John Loudon serves as the District 2 Supervisor; Mark Marshall serves as the District 3 Supervisor, and Gary Evans serves as District 4 Supervisor. The Honorable Jeffrey A. Thompson serves as the Colusa County Superior Court Judge.

Before filing for office, judicial candidates must file a declaration of intention between February 1 – 10, 2016 and pay the filing fee at that time to run.

“If the incumbent judge doesn’t file the Declaration during, this time, that date is extended through February 15, 2016, to anyone other than the incumbent,” said Gallo-Vasquez.

Petitions In-Lieu of filing fee will be available to anyone wanting to collect signatures instead of paying all or part of the filing fee.  Petitions may be taken out and filed between January 4 – February 10, 2016, for judicial candidates, and between January 4 – February 25, 2016, for County Supervisor.
