“The Williams Police Officer’s Association is honored by the outpouring of support from the Colusa County community,” said Williams Police Chief John Osbourn.
Officers, who are accustomed to loading up the rear seat of a patrol car with criminals, filled the entire back seat of a patrol unit with toys. Instead of a trip to the Colusa County jail, Officers transported the cargo to the Colusa County Office of Education Children’s Services Center, where the toys were turned over to Center Staff who distributed them to children in Colusa County.
“The Williams Police Officer’s Association would like to take a moment and thank our community stakeholders who graciously took part in this year’s toy drive,” said Chief Osbourn.
Those to be thanked include the Williams Lower Elementary School, the Officers of the Williams Police Department, and the community members who’ve donated.
The Williams Police Officer’s Association is an association of the hardworking professionals, both sworn and non-sworn, who are dedicated employees of the Williams Police Department.■
