Dorothy Mae Polit

01082015-DorothyPolit-ColorDorothy Mae Polit passed away suddenly at Enloe Hospital on Saturday, December 27th in Chico, Ca. She was born to Edna and Lloyd Armstrong in Emporia Kansas on June 17th, 1932. Dorothy was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Dorothy loved to dance and that‚Äôs where she met the love of her life, John Polit. John and Dorothy loved to travel and visit with family. Dorothy enjoyed spending time at the ocean in Crescent City. Dorothy was an avid gardener with her flowers. She loved being outside and working in her yard. She worked at Davidson’s drug before moving to Willows, Ca. She loved people and working with the public.

She is survived by her husband John Polit of Willows; her children Leslie and Janet Hase of Willows, Paul and Laura Hase of Live Oak, Don and Katherine Altnow of Acampo, CA Eddie and Teisha Hase of Chico, CA. Randy Polit of Maxwell, Mike and Sherry Polit of Colusa, Ca Terry and Jim Auld of Cazadoro, CA. Brother Lloyd G. Armstrong, Pueblo, CO. Grandchildren; Jason (Veronique), Leslie, Michael Altnow(Kendra), Simon, Lydia Hase, Monica & Eli Hase, Allison, Amanda, Amie, Nathan, Lucus, Nikkol Polit, Jennie, Frank Harsh. As well as many Great-Grandchildren and numerous Cousins.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 6th at 10:00 a.m. at McNary- Moore chapel.  Burial will to follow at the Maxwell Cemetery. Donations can be made in Dorothy’s name to the Kidney Foundation at Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016 or online at www.kidney.org/donate.
