Antonia was born May 10, 1929 in Vega Azul, Sonora, Mexico to Tomasa Tovar and was a daughter to Carmen Contreras and Miguel Rendon.
She was a Colusa County resident for 58 years; she was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She was most happy spending time with her family; enjoyed gardening, crocheting and had a passion for cooking. Antonia was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and was in the Passages Foster Grandparents Program at Grand Island Elementary School in Grimes for several years; a job she absolutely loved.
Antonia was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Alfonso Sanchez.
She leaves behind daughters Irma and Sylvia Sanchez of Grimes, son Tom Sanchez and wife Melanie and grandsons Benjamin and Gabriel Sanchez all of Susanville, CA. She is also survived by sister Juanita Yañez of Douglas, AZ; brothers Reyes Rendon of Douglas, AZ, Richard Rendon of Tucson, AZ and Ramon Rendon of Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends who will deeply miss her.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the McNary-Moore chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Jan. 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on 4th and Oak St. in Colusa.
