Frances Whatley-Gardner (1931-2015)

Gardner, Frances ObitFrances Louisa Whatley-Gardner, 84, of Colusa, California passed away on July 3, 2015. Born on June 11, 1931, in Eufaula, Oklahoma.  She was the youngest of thirteen children. Raised in Cullman, Alabama on the family farm, Frances and her family later migrated to California.

In 1953, Frances met and married Arlan Gardener where they raised three children. After 49 years of marriage, Arlan passed away.

Frances was a longtime resident of Colusa, California. She was an avid reader and loved to take rides through the countryside.

She was one of the kindest and most gentle people that you ever could have known; she was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Frances is survived by her sister Ezma Schaffer; children Gary Gardner, Gay Gardner-Seaver and Curtis Gardner; grandchildren Mary Seaver-Zoller, Allison Seaver-Hernandez, Michael Gardner, Justin Gardner, Austin Gardner and Ryan Gardner; great-grandchildren Annabella Hernandez, Maximus Hernandez, Carmelo Hernandez and Ace Zoller. Frances also has numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 24, 2015, at the Colusa Cemetery, 1974 Wilson Ave. in Colusa.

Arrangements are under the direction of McNary-Moore Funeral Service FD-410, (530) 458-2111.
