Daniel-Andrew-Fonseca-Profile-1448988357Daniel Andrew Fonseca, Sr., 70, died suddenly on November 27, 2015, in Princeton, CA. He was the husband of Betty Lynn and they shared 51 years of marriage together.

Born in Willows, CA. on February 14, 1945, Danny was the son of Daniel J. and Josephine M. Fonseca, and was raised in Princeton, CA. Danny was employed at Glenn Colusa Irrigation District, having started as a dump truck driver and retiring as a maintenance supervisor in March 2015 after 50 years, 10 months, and 16 days of service.

Danny belonged to St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Willows, Knights of Columbus, Princeton’s Holy Ghost and St. Anthony’s Portuguese Festa (Princeton, CA), and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, camping, the outdoors, cooking, sports, coaching his boys’ little league teams, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, generosity, strong work ethic, and commitment to his family.

Danny is survived by his wife Betty Lynn, children Dan Jr (Marci), Darel (Kim), Darci (Orville), and grandchildren: Kandace, Brittnie, Katelynn, Haylee, Autumn, Madison, Sarah, Danny, A.J., and Braeden. There are also 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Donal, parents, brother David, and sister Genevieve.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 4th in Colusa, CA. A Catholic Rosary will be held at 9:30 am & Funeral will be held at 10:00 am, both at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, also in Colusa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dan’s memory to Butte Humane Society in Chico, CA.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by McNary-Moore Funeral Home in Colusa.
